What a SchoolsPLP Virtual Instructor does
Communicate with students through the SchoolsPLP platform.
Check and respond to messages within 24 hours, Monday–Friday.*
Grade and provide feedback on instructor-graded assignments within 48 hours, Monday–Friday.*
Provide additional communication and support based on student attendance, participation, and success.
Use SchoolsPLP's internal communication system to provide positive reinforcement and encouragement.
Notify the SchoolsPLP Program Coordinator when a student is fully disengaged.
Notify the Program Coordinator about plagiarism, cheating, or other concerns.
Follow mandatory reporting procedures and notify the Program Coordinator.
*Except on school, state, or federal holidays.

- Technical ability to provide online synchronous instruction.
- Clear, articulate verbal and written communication.
- Patience with student learning curves, technology, audio recordings, video submissions.
- Grammatically correct written communication with staff and students.
- Adherence to your state department of education code of ethics.
Virtual Instructor Requirements
- Teaching credentials
- Fingerprint clearance card and state background check
- Prior teaching experience, both in-person and virtual
- Professional references
- Copy of current driver's license or state-issued ID
- Social Security card
- Computer with microphone and web camera + high-speed internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet)*
*Candidate is responsible for their own equipment.
