SchoolsPLP earns 1EdTech OneRoster 1.2 certification for improved student roster information

PHOENIX, AZ – SchoolsPLP recently earned 1EdTech® Consortium's certification for OneRoster® 1.2 for its SchoolsPLP digital curriculum platform.

With 1EdTech's OneRoster standard, schools are able to securely and reliably exchange roster information, course resources, and grades between learning tools, platforms, and systems. OneRoster 1.2 also transfers assessment results and both standards-based and competency-based grades, allowing teachers and administrators to see all results data in one system to better understand where each student is, and saving countless teacher hours previously spent manually recording grades and scores.

For SchoolsPLP districts, that means student rosters, class enrollments, and all 1,660+ PreK-12 courses flow between SchoolsPLP and the district's student information system automatically, and grades earned in SchoolsPLP courses, including core, CTE and electives, credit recovery, and virtual programs, return to the SIS without manual re-entry.

The OneRoster 1.2 version also enhances user management so educators can access everything they need without logging off and back into various tools, and it makes assessment results not tied directly to a course easier to access. It also allows users to identify personal preferences, including names other than their legal name and "sex" designations.

Finally, OneRoster 1.2 is more closely aligned with the 1EdTech ecosystem, including 1EdTech's security framework, can connect assessments to learning objectives through CASE, and provides a consistent ID across digital platforms and tools when combined with LTI or LTI Advantage. It joins SchoolsPLP's existing Thin Common Cartridge certification and TrustEd Apps Seal.
