SchoolsPLP core courses receive NCAA Eligibility Center approval
Student-athletes can now use SchoolsPLP core courses toward NCAA Division I and II initial-eligibility requirements.
The NCAA Eligibility Center has approved SchoolsPLP's core course catalog for use toward NCAA Division I and Division II initial-eligibility requirements. The approval means student-athletes taking English, mathematics, natural/physical science, social science, and additional core courses through SchoolsPLP, whether in-district, in a virtual program, or through credit recovery, will have those credits recognized by the NCAA.
"Athletes shouldn't have to choose between a flexible learning path and their college future. NCAA approval closes that gap for the thousands of student-athletes already learning with us."
The approval is the result of a multi-year course-quality review covering rigor, assessment design, teacher-of-record oversight, and academic integrity controls.
"Athletic directors and counselors have asked us for this for years. Now when a family asks 'will these credits count?' the answer is a flat yes, and that opens doors."
SchoolsPLP delivers a comprehensive PreK-12 digital curriculum for core instruction, credit recovery, virtual learning, and electives. The platform is used by districts nationwide to give every student access to high-quality, flexible learning. Learn more at schoolsplp.com.
